I have added the TODO list https://dev.archlinux.org/todo/17/ for perl 5.10.1 Note that I have not yet released the new perl with libperl.so to testing yet, but it should happen tonight. So please wait until 5.10.1-3 is in testing before making those rebuilds. F

Hi, device-mapper & lvm2 2.02.52-1 are now in testing. Update: - Minor upstream update: lvm2: 2.02.48 -> 2.02.52 device-mapper: 1.02.33 -> 1.02.37 - Implemented split package. For this to work, I had to set the package version of device-mapper to 2.02.52 as I found out that the dbscripts can't handle split packages with different pkgver. -Renamed pkgconfig file (close FS#15909) Please test and signoff. Users signoff would be appreciated as very few dev uses this. Eric

Hi, gpm-1.20.6-2 is in testing. Please test and signoff. Update: - Updated stock config to work with newer udev (close FS#16126) - Fixed rc.d script. It was sometime showing DONE when it was failing (close FS#16126) - Removed array in .install file. Eric

Doesn't that completely defeat the guideline we have in PKGBUILD man page : If you need to create any custom variables for use in your build process, it is recommended to name your custom variables with an _ (underscore) prefix. This will prevent any possible name clashes with internal makepkg variables. For example, to store the base kernel version in a variable, use something similar to $_basekernver. It is the PKGBUILD who should use _foo syntax to avoid clashes. If dbscripts does it also, it's not avoiding clashes, it's asking for clashes :) However, if dbscripts used things like $realpkgname $pkgbuild_pkgname or whatever, it would be fine. If a pkgbuild also defined these, it would be pkgbuild's fault of not following the guidelines. This should definitely be fixed.

hi guys, can someone please have a look at the koffice PKGBUILD in trunk. Ever since I splitted it some time ago I cannot seem to start the build process anymore via makechrootpkg, it just keeps hanging at 'setting srcdest in makepkg.conf' I'm sure I did something wrong or made a stupid typo, but I just cannot find it. 2 upstream updates for the LTS stable kernel series: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/ChangeLog-2.6.27.34 http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/ChangeLog-2.6.27.35 one change in the kernel config: build ext4 now as module like all other filesystems. Hi, I am pushing initial rebuilds for db-4.8 into [testing]. Many rebuilds are still needed so be prepared for issues if you update at the moment... I have built enough to keep most systems booting. Devs: make sure you use the LDFLAGS from pacman-3.3.1 in your makepkg.conf. I have not built subversion for x86_64 yet as I have to rebuild apache first because someone did not use those flags with the ldap/postgres rebuilds... Remember to mark off you rebuilds on the TODO list as you go. Someone will want to generate a rebuild list for [community]. The libraries with name changes are libdb-4.7 and libdb_cxx-4.7. Allan

In the spirit of Eli making a bunch of patches for the AUR, I finally decided to sit down tonight and figure out why the heck namcap was sucking it up, and did a little code cleanup along the way. namcap.py is now a bit cleaner and separated into functions, and the real treat is namcap is a hell of a lot faster now that I found the bottleneck, which was the depends hook. The first 6 patches in this series lead up to the 7th, which is where the speed increase is found. Let me know what you see, otherwise it would be cool to get this in and a new namcap release made, as it has rather dramatic effects with regards to speed.
