Hi, shadow-4.1.4.3-2 is in testing. I've updated the package to use a svn snapshot. The shadow version (4.1.4.3) currently in the repo is just the 4.1.4.2 version that was released 2 years ago with a security fix. Using a more recent svn snapshot will fix several issues like FS#21951. Debian use the same snapshot for their stable release plus the shadow package maintainer for Debian is also the upstream developper. So it should be pretty stable. :) Other fixes I did: - Removed the obsolete GETPASS_ASTERISKS option from /etc/login.defs (close FS#19207) - Fixed strncpy usage (close FS#23216) - Updated license - Added acl depends Please test and signoff.

Reinstate an .install file for dealing with info pages. This was removed completely back when it was noticed that we needed bash installed to run the install script. And of course, readline is installed before bash, so that lead to issues. However, only post_install() needed removed. post_upgrade() is fine. Signoff both, Allan

3 releases in one day (6/2) for module init tools. I've added a build fix for us to properly generate doc which is no longer provided as pre-generated. Hi, New perl was released before our movement to [core]. Fortunately no needs to rebuild the entire stuff. There is remaining the subversion + swig + perl bug on i686 FS#24540 [1]. But i don't want to stuck the repository because of this (though subversion upstream should realize and stand-up about it), anyway, I will be finding for a solution of this. The glibc-2.14 toolchain update is in [testing]. Here is a summary of the changes. glibc-2.14-1 - major version release - add patch to fix libdl crash Note: The RPC implementation in libc is obsoleted. Old programs keep working but new programs cannot be linked with the routines in libc anymore. Programs in need of RPC functionality must be linked against TI-RPC. The TI-RPC implementation is IPv6 enabled and there are other benefits. Visible changes of this change include (obviously) the inability to link programs using RPC functions without referencing the TI-RPC library and the removal of the RPC headers from the glibc headers. linux-api-headers-2.6.29.1-1 - upstream update gcc-4.6.0-7 - just rebuilt binutils-2.21-9 - new snapshot from 2.21 branch (close to 2.21.1 release) valgrind-3.6.1-2 - rebuild This will sit in [testing] for a while to get some decent testing. The testsuites all look fine so I am not expecting too many issues... Allan
