Hi guys, kernel 2.6.33 first test run ... ... Arch Linux changes: - changed radeon kms enabled by default
I've built libdrm, mesa, xorg-server + xf86-video-ati(gitshot) to support KMS. It starts in kms mode on my laptop but Xorg quickly freezes. This is probably caused by my not well supported chip X200m and should work much better with most other cards. People with KMS issues can still append "radeon.modeset=0" to the kernel boot line. We need feedback for Ati and KMS and I need a way do get something helpful into my system logs. -Andy
