Hi,
I have just updated mysql to 5.1.33 and it has been working great here - thanks for everyone that helped in the process.
I want to move the asap to extra.
Any cons here ?
mysql-python needs a rebuild or something, as the so version got bumped in the client libraries and it no longer works. It would probably be good to make the dependency on libmysqlclient a versioned one.
Hi Dan, I already rebuilt mysql-python to work against the new mysql (it is in testing too).
You probably also want to let the owners of mysql-ruby, luasql-mysql, etc. know that you are going to move it to [extra] very soon.
Good one, thanks =)
