While trying to commit to CVS at 1541 UTC, I got this error:
cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.archlinux.org(66.211.213.17):2401 failed: Connection refused
Confirmed here and by some TUs in irc. Let's wait for a fix =P

The logs have this message: cvs [update aborted]: connect to cvs.archlinux.org(66.211.213.17):2401 failed: Connection refused
so there's definitely a problem with cvs on the server.
2401 doesn't seem to be... working. I believe that's the CVS pserver port, but a quick nmap shows it's not open.
Did someone shut off the pserver? How was it running before? xinet.d? Stand-alone? Can't seem to find any reference
Fixed, my bad on this. -Dan
