So in amazing zealot form, I've been telling my co-workers to download arch and install it!
There has been one unfortunate reaction, with several of the people I told to download it. They never can find the "Get Arch" link in the upper right hand corner. It sounds stupid, but every one of them said they scanned for the "download link", didn't see it, and in one case just downloaded ubuntu. A lot of them also didn't seem to even look at the top row of links, they only looked down the right hand column of links. I think a lot of them were just looking for the word download.
Maybe in the top "Welcome to Arch Linux!" blurb, we could put a link with the word _download_ in it? Or anywhere on the page? Just as long as the word download is there. It's ubiquitous across almost all sites with stuff to download.. except Arch.
Agreed. I've run into this personally once ("Ok, where is that damned lin...oh there it is!"). Thayer? Any usability opinions here?
