glibc is broken also in extra, probably since 2.9-7 where you removed the x86_64 memory fix. forcing a downgrade to 2.9-3 here fixed openjdk build.
Ulrich is simply ignoring this.
That is because it is not really a glibc bug, but a gcc bug... I thought it had been patched in gcc-4.4 but it appears the fix either didn't work or never made it in.
Please readd the patch!
