Hi,
I wrote a patch days ago, adding the feature of allow a dev/tu, to change their profile_page info.
However Dan an Dusty thought this came up in the past, and wasn't accepted, I would like to know why wasn't accepted, or why it shouldn't be accepted this patch.
We tried to look on the history but we didn't found anything.
Any info could be appreciated!, thanks.
I don't remember this being discussed before, and think it'd be beneficial. I know I've got info that should be updated on my profile.
This would be before your time probably. :) It was back when Eliott or Dusty were maintaining archweb; I remember something coming up. Aaron, if I remember right, you had a -1 vote against this before; am I making things up?
For people being able to edit their own profiles? I don't recall discussing it. I'm for it, actually. As long as some things (Role, etc) can't be changed, then I see no issue with it. In fact, I may have explicitly asked for this in the past when people used to send me dev pictures to update their profile with maybe once a week :)
OK, I'm smoking something then. I'll work on integrating the patch Ángel sent me when time allows. -Dan
