I just updated MediaWiki (backups are in my home dir). No problems so far. More information can be found at http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=567263 Let's see if my anti-spam-plugin does help to block those bots. I use it on al.de for a long time and even with guest editing enabled there were exactly 0 spam posts. :) Of course it could be easily bypassed if a bot would be specialized; but its very unlikely.
