Hi guys, Another update on the Bluez front. I will, as advised by upstream, ship it as a split package, which should hopefully help with the transition. There will be the 'bluez' package containing the bluez and obex daemons, as well as a couple of universally useful tools. Packages that depend on the dbus interface exposed by the bluez daemon will need extra care in transitioning from 4.X to 5.X as compatibility has been broken. There will be the 'bluez-libs' package which splits out the deprecated libraries. These are going away eventually (6.X/7.X?), but for the time being they are backwards compatible with the libs shipped in 4.X, which means that any package that only depends on the libs will be unaffected by the transition to 5.X. Lastly, there will be the 'bluez-utils' package containing all the tools that are not really useful unless you are a developer or doing debugging. Splitting them out makes things much simpler IMHO, as it is clear that all these things can be ignored by most users. Please find the proposed package-build attached. Comments welcome. Cheers, Tom
