This was only ever used in initscripts and its functionality has been obsoleted by systemd-shutdown.

bootlogd.

Obsoleted by the journal and the existence of /run. Logging what's printed on the screen during boot is entirely obsolete.

I'm open to arguments against this, but I suggest we drop sysvinit-tools after pidof is part of a release from procps-ng.
