Yes, it does. I had to ask Dan. IIRC we slated this for removal, making fakeroot and non-root builds mandatory, instead of just suggested, but it is still in in the current incarnation.
Everything can be built inside fakeroot now? That's cool. I knew there were a bunch of packages a long time ago that couldn't be built with fakeroot. Jason
