I just used the new db scripts. I noticed that the output is less verbose than before. I guess that this is normal. A part from that, they seems to be working fine.
I quieted the repo-add output, though I don't think the change has made it into a pacman release.
-q used to make repo-add silent, but I sent a patch to still give minimal output.
Dan, did this ever get through?
I remember the patch but I don't see it in my tree or anything. Hmmmm.
Now the patch has been relocated, is there any chance that we could patch the repo-add on the server with this? I am finding the db-scripts output too quiet at the moment...
Is it erroring out? I'd rather just remove the -q on the live db scripts for now than fiddle with repo-add
It was not erroring out (I think), just giving no output to indicate db generation was occurring, which was a bit disconcerting.
Anyway... repo-add may have been patched now...
Nothing like hot-patching scripts! Allan and I applied your patch last night to the gerolde version of repo-add, so at least it shows something now. -Dan
