I think ViewVC is just a renamed ViewCVS afrer SVN support was added (and a lot of other changes too).
Yeah. If anyone knows some good web-viewer alternatives here, let me know. Simo mentioned that ViewVC is a pain in the ass, so maybe we want like... WebSVN or something? /me shrugs
