[arch-dev-public] Fwd: Server error!
I'm not sure who else gets the 'webmaster' emails, but this came through today. You can view old revisions, via: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Beginners%27_Guide&oldid=123706 But the diffing mechanism seems broken after you go back far enough... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: member graysky <graysky@archlinux.us> Date: Tue, Jul 12, 2011 at 5:22 AM Subject: Server error! To: webmaster@archlinux.org Try to browse to an older (6+ mo or so) version of the Beginner's Guide and you'll get an Error 500. It has been doing this for a few days now. Example: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Beginners%27_Guide&diff=144861&oldid=123706 "Server error! The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 500 wiki.archlinux.org Tue Jul 12 06:19:04 2011 Apache"
I get them as well and saw this, it looks like it just times out and thus returns a 500 error due to PHP/database/wiki/etc. slowness somewhere along the path. It isn't too surprising with an article as long and as many revisions as that one. We triggered it a few times just now trying the links: [Tue Jul 12 12:22:05 2011] [error] [client 189.63.255.21] FastCGI: comm with server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm" aborted: idle timeout (30 sec) [Tue Jul 12 12:22:05 2011] [error] [client 189.63.255.21] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm" [Tue Jul 12 12:25:32 2011] [error] [client 75.135.156.27] FastCGI: comm with server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm" aborted: idle timeout (30 sec), referer: https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4 [Tue Jul 12 12:25:32 2011] [error] [client 75.135.156.27] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm", referer: https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4 [Tue Jul 12 12:26:37 2011] [error] [client 77.187.129.159] FastCGI: comm with server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm" aborted: idle timeout (30 sec) [Tue Jul 12 12:26:37 2011] [error] [client 77.187.129.159] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/srv/http/vhosts/wiki.archlinux.org/wiki-fpm" -Dan On Tue, Jul 12, 2011 at 12:20 PM, Aaron Griffin <aaronmgriffin@gmail.com> wrote:
