No signoff from me yet. This update gives me the following message: mkswap: /dev/mapper/swap: Warning: don't erase bootbits sectors on whole disk. Use -f to force. My swap which is configured in this way: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LUKS#Encrypting_swap_partition Changes to initscripts are needed. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

The change was introduced by this commit: http://git.kernel.org/?p=utils/util-linux-ng/util-linux-ng.git;a=commit;h=ff... (BTW, I don't have vol_id command on my system :-/) I've attached the fix for initscripts. Thomas, can you confirm that this is valid solution? -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

I talked to Thomas about this. -f is okay. I will push the patch to git at the end of working day. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

To bump this again, as we've seen a new initscripts: did this change ever make it to initscripts, and if so, can we move in util-linux-ng also now?

Yes, the change is in new initscripts. I sign off util-linux-ng fox x86_64. Have been using it for quite some time already. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)
