[arch-dev-public] Bumping Linux 4.2 in [core]
Hi all, Given that we are still brewing Linux 4.3 in [testing], is anyone against the good old manual signoff procedure to put 4.2.8 in [core]? It has been EOL'ed recently so I don't think it will bring us more harm than 4.2.5 does. Bartłomiej

Why is that still stuck in testing?

Good question. No package should be left in testing for that long. If it is broken and unusable it should be removed with a note sent to the mailing list. Even worse, due to this the package in [core] is several versions behind. Do we know if security related or other critical bugs where fixed in the mean time? No idea. I don't see anything extraordinary on our bug tracker. I put 4.2.8 here[0] if anyone wants to give it a shot. BP [0] http://pkgbuild.com/~barthalion/tmp/linux-4.2.8/
