Re: [arch-dev-public] [arch-general] PKGBUILD for updated libldap

I've see that libldap is version 2.3.43 on arch, and the last release on there website is 2.4.17 . I attach the PKGBUILD with this mail.
Forwarding to arch-dev-public. Is there anyone taking the lead in this rebuild? It should not be too hard as most other distros are using the 2.4 series now (we are very behind here...). I made this list of packages needing rebuilt for the libldap update a while back, so it may be slightly out of date. There was also a bug report about combining openldap and openldap-clients into one package that is worth considering... libldap rebuild list: alpine apache apr-util autofs claws-mail courier-authlib courier-mta cyrus-sasl cyrus-sasl-plugins dirmngr dovecot ekiga evolution evolution-data-server evolution-exchange gconf gnash-common gnash-gtk gnupg gnupg2 kdepimlibs kdevelop kopete-cryptography lighttpd mod_perl nfsidmap nss_ldap openldap openldap-clients pam_ldap pdns php postfix samba seahorse smbclient subversion sylpheed wine

Allan, would you be able to spearhead this? Keep in mind, you have until next week sometime, due to server maintenance this weekend. :)

Well... I am fairly busy at the moment, but I am happy to start this (libldap, openldap, subversion, etc) so it is at a point that other can help with the rebuilds. Allan

Just make sure to post some kind of roadmap before so we don't block each other etc.. (e.g. php is in testing and KDE 4.3.1 has just been tagged) -- Pierre Schmitz, http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre

Sure. I would like to get ruby-1.9 moved too - that rebuild overlaps (subversion) as well. Allan
