[arch-dev-public] Master Server (gerolde.archlinux.org) reboot scheduled for today.
It's been a long time coming - we really need to reboot gerolde and apply updates. It's been good to us for 7 months :) Approx 1:30 EDT today I will -Syu and reboot gerolde. Please refrain from uploading packages / updating around this time so it is not interrupted. Kexec should kick in and only require about 60 seconds for a reboot if all works well. Are there any known issues with django and the new python? Or flyspray and the new php? Anything else like that? Thanks, Dale

New version of mediawiki is released. Also, there is bugfix release for flyspray, don't know if it's already installed. As for PHP - the newest version in repos is built with Suhoshin patch from hardened-php.net, so it should be much safer now. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

Don't we commit on vanilla packages anymore? Jürgen

Tobias is away for two weeks. I vote for reverting changes and package what users expect: "php" should deliver latest upstream releases, "php-suhosi" back to community. Jürgen

Wasn't there a bug report related to this one? I'm pretty sure Tobias didn't just add it under his own will. I thought someone requested it. Jason

Also, mailman is listed in IgnorePkg. Anyone know why? I'm actually going to have to hold off on this until tomorrow. I just don't have time to fix it if it breaks today. Can one (or both) of the other enablers pick a time (preferably 8-5 EDT) that they can be available to double check config files / fix broken things? Thanks, Dale

I think an upgrade a while back broke mailman, and judd had to spend some time fixing it.

I should be available to do some stuff during that time whenever you need me to - I'm not really all that busy at work for another week or so.

Isn't it going to break again? Either that or the current package won't work with new libs (7 mo jump).

Thanks, I'll send a mail to the list beforehand. If something's (mailman) broke I might have to send them directly for assistance. Dale

I'm probably not going to be available for large chunks of tomorrow. Good luck guys. Jason

The AUR daemons don't get started automatically on boot, so they simply hadn't been turned back on yet. Sorry about that, it's all working again. -S

Look at the wiki. Seems as if you did not update the php.ini. Set memory_limit at least to 16MB. Better even more. -- Pierre Schmitz Clemens-August-Straße 76 53115 Bonn Telefon 0228 9716608 Mobil 0160 95269831 Jabber pierre@jabber.archlinux.de WWW http://www.archlinux.de
