Signoff x86_64. I think it is time to move the following packages: udev hal initscripts klibc klibc-udev klibc-kbd klibc-module-init-tools klibc-extras v86d Any more related ones I forgot? Objections?

Sounds good to me, but don't forget a news item about the file conflicts. -Dan

Adding a bump for the packages list above. Is there something holding this move up? Allan

Just curious as to what changed - the arch-commits diff only lists a change on the pkgrel.

http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/udev/trunk/udev.install?r1=12720&r2=12761 I wasn't thinking straight when I first wrote this post_install, so the one in -4 failed to create the /dev nodes from the installer. The one in -5 is tested in the following two scenarios: 1) mkdir -p /tmp/arch/{dev,var/lib/pacman} pacman -r /tmp/arch -Sy udev 2) mkdir -p /tmp/arch/{dev,var/lib/pacman} mount --bind /dev /tmp/arch/dev pacman -r /tmp/arch -Sy udev umount /tmp/arch/dev In both cases, /dev/{console,null,zero} are created properly, so moving this package to core will not break our FTP installer.
