[arch-dev-public] Froscon pictures
I've uploaded some pictures too (mine were taken with my phone, so not too high quality) I've added an entry to the froscon item on the following page where we can link to pages with pictures from various people. http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:Linux_Conferences#FrOSCon If you've put pictures online from froscon (or any other event) i suggest you link to the page from there. Something about the motion blur here is frightening: http://dieter.plaetinck.be/files/froscon2009/DSC00398.JPG

I think it's the fact that everyone else is in focus. I guess it's hard to capture ninjas on film

Jut told it on IRC: If I somehow could get all (ok, those which are worth it) photos I could generate a simple gallery like last years. See http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre/froscon/2008/ for example. -- Pierre Schmitz, http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre

Sounds good. But imho we should put the gallery in some official place, not users.archlinux.de Then ideally, for all (next) events, we: - link to all places where pictures are hosted - provide a gallery with (english) comments for the pictures. Dieter

+1 on this. At the moment I'm uploading photos to my public_html, so if we gather all photos on archlinux.org - you can just move them to the new dir. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

http://dev.archlinux.org/~roman/froscon2009/ These are JPEGs straight from the camera, with no post-processing except rotating portrait-mode photos, and resizing all with `convert -resize 50%`. If anyone needs originals - I have both JPEGs and RAWs. Some photos are duplicated or not good, so feel free to pick only the best photos for the gallery. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

Hehe. If I'm not mistaken, the guy that is standing in front of me is our first visitor, and I am doing a speech for him. Next day he asked me for help in installing Arch on his laptop. :-)
And Arch is even mentioned in the news article: http://www.linux-magazin.de/content/view/full/43032
Also some of us are on this picture: http://www.linux-magazin.de/NEWS/Froscon-2009-Linuxtreffen-bei-Sonnenschein-... -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)
