bump. there are still 42 packages that haven't been recompiled in the list. If you don't want to maintain the packages anymore, drop them in AUR but don't block the rebuild process. -- Ionuț

If someone could take care of my rebuilds while I'm away that would be great (otherwise you'd have to wait until next Tuesday): - amarok - ffmpegthumbnailer - miro (has a minor version bump as well) Ronald

- amarok - ffmpegthumbnailer
Done. (amarok needed a function name change: av_open_input_file -> avformat_open_input)
- miro (has a minor version bump as well)
Not done. (This one is a bit more fail-y; I didn't poke at it too much.)

You might not have noticed but in ffmpeg 0.11, they removed a lot of functions and structs that were marked as deprecated in the ffmpeg in [extra] so any packages that still use that deprecated stuff won't build anymore unless they're patched. As expected, this will take more time than a simple rebuild. My remaining package (sox, electricsheep) don't build and I haven't found any patches online. Is there documentation on how to port to the newer API? There are hints in the header files but I got stuck. Electricsheep build but doesn't work, probably because of the line I removed without replacing it (I don't know how to replace it), so I'll need to do more work on the patch. If someone knows about this stuff, I could post my current patches. Eric

bump, i really want to move this list as soon as possible to testing. what's the status of amarok and miro? what about the other packages that weren't compatible? did you guys switched to ffmpeg-compat? -- Ionuț

I'll rebuild amarok tonight. I forgot to rebuild the staging pkg when I added a patch to the extrapkg. It builds fine with the new ffmpeg. I haven't found a fix for miro yet. I'm fine with switching to ffmpeg-compat (is there already such a package or should I create one?) Ronald

ffmpeg-compat is in community-staging.

Rebuilt.

I patched miro to build with ffmpeg 0.11. Hope you don't mind ;) @Ioni Go! You can move the packages. -- Andrea
