[arch-dev-public] network-plasmoid-svn on extra? (WAS: KDE, Bluetooth and Wifi)

How about adding this to extra? It seems NM is very popular, and until it is part of kdenetwork we should not force a high percentage of our users to build it from AUR.
we could, I was waiting a stable version. what others DEV think about this? -- Andrea `BaSh` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer

we could, I was waiting a stable version. what others DEV think about this? Well, if you are talking about networkmanager-plasmoid-svn which is a very useful and cool application, I say yes. But last time I used it from svn, which was like two weeks ago, still it had the flaw that it didn't remember wireless keys and is a lot of problem to get wireless working.

I do not more use it, I back to netcfg from 2 weeks, so feedback are appreciated. -- Andrea `BaSh` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer

Its in a very early develepoment stage and its still in kde playground for a reason; imho its not ready for production. -- Pierre Schmitz Clemens-August-Straße 76 53115 Bonn Telefon 0228 9716608 Mobil 0160 95269831 Jabber pierre@jabber.archlinux.de WWW http://www.archlinux.de

What's your point here? Can I move it? Note: there is not a tarball ATM, so I will move an svn snapshot. -- Andrea `bash` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer

I did not check it for some time. We are talking about http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/playground/base/plasma/applets/networkmanager/ right? If you think it's worth it you can move it to extra. But we should find a name which is more inline with upstream. What about kdeplasma-applets-networkmanager? -- Pierre Schmitz, http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre

Yes, I think it can be moved in [extra] as kdeplasma-applets-networkmanager. Can I proceed? -- Andrea `bash` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer
