Difficulties with the associated firmware package have delayed this, and a new wording is now required. Please review and approve: ==================== The tiacx wireless driver package for Texas Instruments ACX100/ACX111 chipsets is moving to the Core repository, and will therefore be included in future install isos. The packages will be in the Testing repository initially, in line with our normal sign-off procedure. Current tiacx users will notice an important change in the associated firmware package. Full details are provided in the post-install message. ==================== Thanks T.

Looks good from here. Maybe "important change" could be switched to something like "additional steps" or something, if the end users need to actually do something (didn't look at the actual message)

Agreed - how about "Current users will require some additional steps when installing the associated firmware package."

When upgrading to this new version, networking for some people could be broken. Wouldn't it be nice to put this information on the wiki also and link to it from the news item? That way people know what's waiting for them when they upgrade.

OK. My install message links to the relevant page of the tiacx wiki, so I'd be more inclined to use the same in the news item, but I can replicate it on ours too, if you think it's necessary.
