[arch-dev-public] Further orphan clean-up
Hi, I have had a look at the orphaned packages in preparation for another round of clean-up. See my summary here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/User:Allan/Extra_Orphans_CleanUp What is listed is orphans that are out-of-date, fortune-mod packages and games that are orphaned for both arches. Some of the out-of-date orphans are requires for packages which do have maintainers. I have flagged the packages so have a quick look at the list and see you need them for one of your packages. Allan

I went over the list. I adopted 2 of these (I removed them from the list) and added several comments. Important points: - Some of these are makedepends from other packages. You should keep an eye on that if you're not already doing it. - Some of them are depends/makedepends for community packages so they should be moved to community. I noticed a couple of these but there could be more. The i18n stuff should stay in extra. A user is working on updating some of them: http://archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-general/2009-January/003197.html

Thank for going through the list. I realized the out-of-date orphan list contained packages that needed to stay as makedeps or deps for community but had not looked at that yet. I was hoping people would see packages they needed and adopt them before I had to spend too much time on this... Allan
