[arch-dev-public] new pkg for extra: LXDM
LXDM had a nice stable release 0.3.0 a few weeks ago and is ready to use. It's the best light weight alternative we have next to gdm/kdm and slim/xdm. I know about Jürgens ask for help on lxde packages but I'd like to maintain lxdm in extra independent from lxde as an option for Xfce users. Any objections? -Andy

It's very fast and slim with no need to install any lxdm package, as you said, perfect for any small DEs without a login manager. +1 from me. Daniel
lxdm 0.3.0-1 is now in testing. please check for remaining issues and maybe how to improve file/dir permissions. Please someone with git access add #x:5:respawn:/usr/sbin/lxdm >& /dev/null to /etc/inittab in our initscripts. -Andy
