[arch-dev-public] Shirts for FrOSCon
Hi, I'm preparing shirts for our meeting at FrOSCon. At the moment the shop which will produce the shirt is checking the vector graphics of our logo which I have sent to him. If he accept it, I will create a shirt and send the preview of it as reply to this mail. If you want a shirt then just reply after you have seen the preview, give me your shirt size and I will bring the shirts to FrOSCon. To limit the order, this is just for the devs/helpers who will meet at FrOSCon. The logo will be http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre/arch/Artwork/archlinux-official-vertical-s... large at the back of the shirt. Nothing on the front or as an alternative the logo large on the front and nothing on the back. That's because of the print method which isn't able to print small and tiny lines and to keep it relative cheap. I'd like to have one. Make it size L, I have no idea if that will fit, but I guess it should. And please, put the logo on the front, not the back.

I'd like to have one too, XL size, with the logo on the front. BTW you didn't specify the colour of the shirt. Please make it white, not black (to make archlinux text more readable). -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

I thought grey would be a good color. Otherwise I think, that it will be possible to choose different colors for a shirt. I will let you know about the details after I know it. :) I wait for the answer of the shop, after the answer I will give more details about color, etc. -- Jetzt kostenlos herunterladen: Internet Explorer 8 und Mozilla Firefox 3 - sicherer, schneller und einfacher! http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/chbrowser

Btw who's paying for them? If we're paying ourselves I don't mind throwing in a bit more cash to have a higher quality shirt with a little emblem/text on front and maybe a bigger logo on the back. Dieter

I don't mind paying for a t-shirt. Buying from online store and shipping to Ukraine will cost much more anyway. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

You must pay it on your own. I will pay for all T-Shirts and you give me the money at FrOSCon. Because of the printing method, small lines can' tbe printed, so no small logo on the front. Just large logo on the front or on the back. Don't know if I can provide both alternatives or just one. But on the front should be better.

That's why I order all shirts together. If we are over 60€ order, we get free shipping. -- GRATIS für alle GMX-Mitglieder: Die maxdome Movie-FLAT! Jetzt freischalten unter http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/maxdome01

I agree, if having a small text/logo at the front is not an option, put the bigger logo in the front and nothing at the back. having nothing at all on the front would be quite weird I think. And thanks, it's a cool idea. Will the t-shirts be black or white? I'ld prefer black. Dieter

"going to part of team arch" ? wut? - part the team? as in leave it? - going to be there as part of the team? - going (want) to be a part of the team? I assume (and hope) you meant interpretation #2. And thanks. I've always wanted an Arch t-shirt but never got to ordering it because of the shipping costs. Dieter

Yes, #2: I kinda wanted to say that anyone who is going to be there saying "Arch rules" should get a shirt. But if we were planning on giving them out or something, that might change things a little ("We need 500 shirts! That'll be $2000 USD, thanks!")

Hmm, we need 2000 Tacos (the original ones, please).... We need a event against Google's "All you can Würstchen": free taco's ftw... World domination costs a few bucks and tacos, that's clear.... Gerhard

Hmm, I guess it really depends on the overall cost. I was kinda hoping to restrict it to the people there who are showing off Arch (this apparently includes some non-devs too).
