[arch-dev-public] WARNING: libjpeg rebuilds are entering [testing] - devs get building!
Hi everybody, I am pushing the libjpeg rebuilds I have done to [testing] now. I did most of the rebuilds required for desktops to keep work (although I don't guarantee even that...) and many applications still need rebuilt. I would recommend [testing] users not to rush to upgrade unless you are well prepared for some breakages. Devs, please remember to mark off rebuilt packages from the TODO list as you go. Cheers, Allan

Hey why do my jpegs look funny? Kidding. Thanks Allan, for doing all this. I'm always amazed by how much work you guys do on things like this.

Thanks to everyone who has helped out with these rebuilds. There are still about 20 packages to go, so if any dev has some spare time then please take a look. Cheers, Allan

I just tried to rebuild kaffeine. But it seems we will need new kernel-headers to do so. See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=527703 Funny how a simple libjpeg rebuild triggers an glibc update *g+. -- Pierre Schmitz, http://users.archlinux.de/~pierre

And Andy just build updated gcc... I'm a bit swamped with my day job so I will probably not get to this until Friday. Allan

I've built a new toolchain with new kernel-headers 2.6.30.1 and glibc, binutils, gcc{,-libs} for both arches. please signoff. -Andy

Signing off glibc on x86_64, didn't compile anything.

Built stuff on both without issues. Signoff both. Allan

I just commited a patch for netpbm to fix some of the compile problems. It still needs more patching to compile. The remaining error is: jpeg.c: In function `ReadJPEG': jpeg.c:473: error: `struct jpeg_decompress_struct' has no member named `min_DCT_scaled_size' This is because min_DCT_scaled_size is no longer defined in libjpeg's header files. I don't know how to fix it. I wasn't able to find any patches. It seems that the libjpeg update is too new.
