[arch-dev-public] sdl fun in [testing]
Hi, The sdl_mixer-1.2.10 bump contain a soname bump so some rebuilds are needed. I have created a TODO list (not complete for [community]) I have also put some other sdl_* packages in [testing] as there appears to be some other incompatibilities (e.g. the sdl_image update appears to break frozen_bubble but not chromium-bsu). So if you like playing games, it may be best to hold off updating from [testing] for a couple of days. Allan

I have patched sdl_mixer to prevent it crashing frozen-bubble and downgraded sdl_image to a usable version so it should only be simple rebuilds now. Get to it! Allan

Argh!!! The soname bump was a mistake upstream so I will patch out the soname bump and remove the rebuilt packages from [testing]. I will rebuild the packages that were updates + soname bumps and just remove those that were pure soname bumps. Allan

And everything is fixed... the only remaining issue is bomberclone which I rebuilt in [testing] but just removed. Should I rebuild again for [extra] or just expect people using [testing] to be capable of downgrading? Allan

You mean my apparent laziness has for once paid off? Yay, I knew this day would come! Thanks for the update =]

Well, I don't see any new bug reports about that so I think you're safe. BTW, sdl_image 1.2.9 is already available. ;-) -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)

But is very broken... I had uploaded it but then downgraded. That whole update was a mess!
