[arch-dev-public] [signoff] pacman 3.1.4, libarchive 2.4.17
Signoffs for both architectures needed, as well as a build of pacman for x86_64 (since pacman depends on the new libarchive, I can't build with satisfied deps as I don't have sudo, and I really can't do anything without sudo including installing a package in my chroot). pacman changes: http://www.archlinux.org/pipermail/pacman-dev/2008-April/011561.html libarchive changes: who knows, but 3 minor versions in like 2 days. It should be plenty stable though, I promise. -Dan

I have uploaded a package for x86_64 (built against new libarchive). The only thing I noticed that configure hangs quite some time at checking mktime and fails: checking for working mktime... no -- archlinux.de

This is a known regression in gcc-4.3, actually, so not much we can do. It isn't specific to pacman. http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2007-12/msg01366.html -Dan

Signoff for x86_64: though I've upgraded only a few moments ago without problems, I'm using this new version of libarchive and pacman on Debian Etch to build "distribution independant" packages without problems.

I have been using them for the last few days and I didn't noticed any problem so signoff for both arches. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
