[arch-dev-public] PHP 5.5 entering [testing]
Hi all, I'll move PHP 5.5 into testing soon. I'll rebuild the dependent modules inside staging; so you can ignore any mail from the todo system you get about that. I'll create a second todo list with all the scripts we provide to check their compatibility. I have been testing this for quite some time now and don't expect any serious issues. Some scripts that set error_reporting might need to be adjusted to suppress deprecation warnings (FluxBBfor example: https://projects.archlinux.org/vhosts/bbs.archlinux.org.git/commit/?id=aa747...) Manual intervention is needed if you use APC. You can either use the new opcache module and APCu for data caching or XCache. I'll need to write an announcement about this. This list can be found here: https://www.archlinux.org/todo/php-55-scripts-check-list/ If you are not the maintainer but know that a certain script is fine please to mark it as complete as well. Also, if you are not a TU or Dev, send me a mail if you tested a certain package. Greetings, Pierre -- Pierre Schmitz, https://pierre-schmitz.com
