[arch-dev-public] FS#30187, update xz to a prerelease to get SMP support?
I've ask to bump xz to 5.1.1alpha1 release or a later git shot to gain SMP support. It should be safe because it's widely tested in major distributions. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/30187 Opinions? -Andy

I'm confused. The last release was ages ago, there have been tons of commits, and no indication about stability. I am worried that this release might corrupt archives. I am also worried that the maintainer of xz has no motivation for stabilization at all. You should ask him.
