[arch-dev-public] Anyone use samba?
I saw this bug today: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/10526 I do not use samba, but could update it and pray if no one else actually uses it. Cheers, Aaron

I make very minor and sporadic use of it - for the mostpart, I'd be doing the same as you - updating and praying. :P

Me too, I could test the simple things (mount from windows, mount to windows, mount samba to samba), but I don't use any of the advanced ldap integration or anything. Dale

I'd say the most advanced usage I make of it is with cifs... but that's not that special. Jason

If this is going to stay in testing before it hits extra as suggested, it should be updated soon. Any volunteer(s) ? :) Greg

Status? Will someone who uses samba update it? I don't use samba but could update it if no one else does. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Sorry to make you do more work Eric, but could you please do this when you get a chance. Consider me implicitly signed off (I trust you here). I won't have internet in my new place until early next week. Thanks so much for the hard work, Eric. I really appreciate it.

Both samba and smbclient in extra have been updated to 3.0.30. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
