[arch-dev-public] Warning: db-4.8 rebuilds entering [testing]
Hi, I am pushing initial rebuilds for db-4.8 into [testing]. Many rebuilds are still needed so be prepared for issues if you update at the moment... I have built enough to keep most systems booting. Devs: make sure you use the LDFLAGS from pacman-3.3.1 in your makepkg.conf. I have not built subversion for x86_64 yet as I have to rebuild apache first because someone did not use those flags with the ldap/postgres rebuilds... Remember to mark off you rebuilds on the TODO list as you go. Someone will want to generate a rebuild list for [community]. The libraries with name changes are libdb-4.7 and libdb_cxx-4.7. Allan

OOo stable, devel and "go" are done. Don't care about the "beta" branch. There's currently no release between stable and devel we need to care about. db rebuild list should be done now. -Andy

If we don't rebuild the beta branch, then it might be better to remove it from the repo. There's no need keeping a broken package in the repo. It could be readded in the future if there is a need. Eric

the db-remove script removes also all stuff from svn incuding trunk expect the topdir, right? that's not what I want. any simple way to only svn rm repos/* + get the pkg away from the ftp? anyways this is more cosmetic right now. we will probably see later this week the 1st beta pkg for the new OOo3.2 branch that was branched from devel right yesterday. -Andy

No, you have to specify what repo and arch you want to remove so it only removes the package from ftp and the relevant repos/ directory db-remove <pkg> <repo> <arch> Allan

If there is an update pending, then we can just keep it in the repos meanwhile. I was more concerned about having them in the repo for a long period of time. Eric

Last time I tried, it didn't touch trunk at all.

Well... that seems to have went fairly smoothly. I'll start a separate sign-off thread in a day or two. Allan
