[arch-dev-public] boost rebuild status
Hi all, I was doing some testing to see it there was anything more that needed doing in order to move boost from testing. Here are the results from all packages in [extra] with runtime dep on boost: Already rebuilt: deluge gnash-common miro python-vpython smc Other packages: abiword-plugins - nothing linked to libboost_* (python library dep?) - no testing done bmpx - beep-media-player-2-bin binary linked to boost libraries (regex-mt, iostreams-mt) - /usr/lib/bmpx/plugins/vfs/container/libcontainer_pls.so linked to libboost_regex-mt.so - seems to run fine hugin - appears to have missing exiv2 dep - lots of binaries linked to libboost_thread-mt.so - very, very basic tests show no problems kdeedu - untested libavg - has a boost=1.34.1 dependency so will need rebuit mkvtoolnix - mkvmerge binary linked to libboost_regex-mt.so - very, very basic tests show no problems monotone - nothing linked to libboost_* (python library dep?) - very, very basic tests show no problems source-highlight - check-regexp and source-highlight linked to libboost_regex.so - source-highlight runs fine twinkle - twinkle linked to libboost_regex.so - starting and the clicking "cancel" works... (i.e. not very tested) wesnoth - untested So in summary libavg needs rebuilt and kdeedu and wesnoth needs tested. Then the move can go ahead. Kevin: have you had a look at libavg? Allan

I saw in an earlier email Kevin pointed out that the latest libavg needed graphicsmagick which is in [community] at the moment. I will add it to [extra] and stick the rebuilt libavg in [testing] (provided that no-one objects by the time I rebuild it....) Allan

Or, looking into this further, nothing in [extra] or [community] depends on libavg so we could just dump it to [unsupported]. Opinions? Allan

Already rebuilt: deluge
There is a newer version of deluge already. We should update it and move to [extra] with boost. -- Hugo

Newer version of gnash released - 0.8.4 An attempt at a PKGBUILD attached, not tested. Also, could someone please explain the differences between gnash-common and gnash-gtk, looking through the only real differences I could see was "--with-plugindir=/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins \" and the gtk2 & agg dependencies. If it makes sense, could gnash-common be renamed to just gnash?

There used to be a gnash-kde package. It was removed as it not longer worked with kde4. gnash-common was providing files that were common to both gnash-kde and gnash-gtk.

Perhaps. If there's no plan to readd a gnash-kde in the future. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
