Funny version numbering, they updated from 5.4.A.1 to 8.24.2.12. Although the version number says 8.24.2.12, version 5.4.A.1 will still be used for now! This package contains two ucode files: - API version 1 ucode from 5.4.A.1 - API version 2 ucode from 8.24.2.12 A patch that supports API version 2 just went upstream to linux-wireless, so in future kernels, version 2 will be used.
