Hi Wouter and friends,
I'm interested in giving the following session: "Can we build a simple, cross-distribution installation framework?"
Although I will think about the format further, it will probably be mostly about these two things: On one hand to explain the philosophy and implementation of the Arch Linux installation framework, and most importantly: lessons learned from it. on the other hand I want to initiate a discussion on how multiple distributions can work together maintaining an installation framework and whether it would be feasible to do so. In my experience, many issues and features are distribution-independent. Specific distributions could be supported with plugins or feature branches.
