I have a tree of packages, organised similarly to ABS, i.e. directory names match package name, and in each directory is a PKGBUILD (and what else is needed). Something like this: my-packages/ foo/ PKGBUILD bar/ PKGBUILD bar.install baz/ PKGBUILD ... Is there some tool that would allow me to move into one of these directories, build the package including any dependencies? Hi all, I just got a bug closed as dup (concerning the python rebuild) because the python rebuild bug did not show up when I searched the package name. Of course, now I realize that I should search with 'search details' on. Would it be difficult to default to having that switch turned on? Would it stress the backend too much (no idea about such things) or require patching which would break on updates? I've also added a sentence to the dup-search section of the bug-reporting guidelines which will hopefully prevent other noobs from making my mistake =).

Hi, Recently I've been going to my friends' house and installing arch on their boxes. Some of them had high speed wireless dialup internet (3.1 megabytes/s is the max) which required wvdial, so I had to carry wvdial's package in another pen drive. Hi, lvm2/device-mapper 2.02.74-1 are now in testing for an upstream update. Please test and signoff. I couldn't test much the i686 package except in a chroot so 2 signoffs for i686 would be nice. Anyone know of some reliable benchmark utilities I can use to evaluate display cards? and different drivers (mostly Nvidia on KDE 4.5). I know I can install some 3D game or demo and compare FPS, but I need something more focused on basic desktop experience; and must be repeatable with some form of formatted results. I know KDE had a benchmarking suite way back, can't seem to find it? Manne

Hi, the latest mesa package (7.9) in testing is missing utilities such as glxinfo and glxgears. Since I built mesa 7.9-rc2 myself I noticed that those utilities are not built with the current PKGBUILD. As a workaround, I added cd "${srcdir}/Mesa-${pkgver}/progs/xdemos" make to the build() function. Don't know if there is a better solution. Cheers, Stefano
