Hello, After upgrading to latest packages (and rebooting) I have a problem with LXDM. After logging in the lxdm-binary takes 100% CPU all the time. I think this is due to upgrade of udev or util-linux. Below are the packages that were upgraded. I use xmonad as a window manager and by default it have always had dark blue desktop background, but now after a second since logging in it goes black and lxdm-binary goes 100% CPU Does anybody has this problem and/or knows how to solve it? [arch-general] About sshfs multi user idmap

Is there a way to map multiple users via sshfs? If I am using connect to a remote host through root, and I want to other user have access to it with allow_other, then, I hope their id could be mapped, ie. local http map to remote http, local user1 map to remote user1, and so on. both of them have the same user id and group id with the remote. How can I accomplish that?

Guys, I don't know if this is the new xorg sever upgrade or what, but after updates, X will not start on my archlinux guest in vitrualbox. I have reinstalled virtualbox-archlinux-additions (4.1.8-2) and still no joy. [arch-general] Recent bug in Kalarm?

Seems like a recent upgrade of Kalarm (or something else in the bowels of KDE) has broken some key pieces of functionality: the abilities to edit the time of an alarm, or to delete one. Can some other KDE/kalarm user please confirm this issue? (https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28891) I'd like to file an upstream bug report, but need to know it's not something specific to my configuration. Thanks, DR

Does this really need to be done automatically? Up until now all of the mounting that rc.sysinit does is essential. This is definitely optional. Can't it just be a commented line in fstab in the filesystems package? ( essential except /dev/shm maybe... a fstab.d would be nice =/ )

[arch-general] grub2 efi image files

Hi, I could swear that some time back some version of archboot media gave me the choice to select grub2-efi-32-bit. Was this dropped? I've been trying to install arch only (single boot) on a EFI-32 mac. Due to not being able to convinve (bless) rEFIt without having OS X installed to not come up with a delay of >= 20seconds, I wanted to use EFI. The mac has onboard intel i915 graphics which I know to work out of the box. Would this give me any issues like the nvidia guys with using EFI? What is the exact issue I have to be careful about to not brick the firmware with EFI? I know I shouldn't use efitbootmgr on mac efi. What else is dangerous? Thanks, Carsten

[arch-general] How can I change thunderbird profile dir form .thunderbird to .mozilla/thunderbird?

Is there any compile flag or something I could alter? I think that would be easy to do. I just want to clean my home folder, backup firefox and thunderbird data. I only want to backup a .mozilla directory and not .mozilla and .thunderbird them two. So,anyone knows? Besides, I don't want to symlink .mozilla/thunderbird to .thunderbird, that won't solve the problem, I am willing to recomplie the whole thunderbird if necessary. Regards, Techlive Zheng
