[arch-general] ca-certificate-utils in testing gives error upon upgrade

This happens when I try upgrading, and pacman says that ca-certificates-java needs to be replaced with ca-certificate-utils error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) ca-certificates-utils: /etc/ca-certificates/extracted/java/cacerts exists in filesystem ca-certificates-utils: /etc/ca-certificates/extracted/pem/tls-ca-bundle.pem exists in filesystem Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded. I've installed it via the usual 'pacman -Syu' https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/plain/trunk/PKGBUILD?h… now I get a warning warning: ncurses: local (5.9_20141101-1) is newer than core (5.9-6) and this version isn't listed in the online package database: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?name=ncurses What happened and how should I proceed?

Hi :) why is the wanted default CHOST ARCHITECTURE-unknown-linux-gnu instead of ARCHITECTURE-arch-linux-gnu? $ grep CHOST /etc/makepkg.conf CHOST="x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu" I wasn't aware of this, until I started testing Claws [1], [2]. Other distros usually prefer self-promotion. [arch-general] Firefox 33, Intel GPU and latest "flashplayer": No animations but white area.

Hello, can someone reproduce the following on an Intel GPU with Firefox 33 and Flash? If I open a website with "Flash media", then the plugin loads (the context menu is the one that gets created by Adobe Flash) but I can't see anything. The area, where the "animation" should be is just white. I've downgraded to the latest Firefox 32 and my Flash content immediately worked again. Am I the only one with this problem or can someone reproduce this? Thanks in advance. Greetings, Manuel

I have been using this method for a while with no issue. [arch-general] Independent displays

Hello list, I am wondering if any one can be help me in my quest; I am trying to get the display of a VM out on to my HDMI port on my latptop, possibly with audio. Whilst keeping my host on the main laptop display. In the VM I have setup X11RDP and I can connect to it with FreeRDP. Somehow I need something like FreeRDP to output the display to my external monitor. I hope I am clear in that I am trying to achieve!? MultiSeat is close but not quite what I am looking for..
