[arch-general] VirtualBox crashes when adding choose existing to SATA controller

The VirtualBox gui crashes when you want to add an existing hard disk to a SATA controller. Steps to reproduce: Select a Machine -> Settings -> Storage -> Controller: SATA -> Add hard disk -> Choose existing disk Then you will see the following message when you have started the Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager in a terminal: % VirtualBox Qt WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile (VirtualBox:7254): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkwindow-x11.c:5554 drawable is not a native X11 window [1] 7254 segmentation fault VirtualBox The corresponding machine had no hard disk applied. I guess I have to use some Command line to get the machine up again...

[arch-general] Gnome wayland + urxvt

Hello, New Gnome 3.22 which comes with wayland breaks urxvt. I'm using the .xsession to start the daemon (urxvtd) and .Xresources to configure the urxvt. [arch-general] Transparent gnome-terminal with Wayland

Hi there, with GNOME 3.22 defaulting to Wayland I thought I give it a try. All in all it works pretty well. I just miss the possibility to make some windows a bit less opaque. With Xorg I do it using Devil's Pie, but that doesn't seem to work with Wayland. Is there a way to get transparency with GNOME/Mutter on Wayland? [arch-general] networkd IPv6 and tunnel problems

Hi, I've an VPS whose network is configered with systemd-networkd. The original interface is eth0 configured by eth0-dhcp.network and has an IPv6 address, which however cannot connect to the HE IPv6 network[1]. So I use tunnel broker to get another IPv6 address. I configured this according to [2]. The new IPv6 address works fine. However, the original IPv6 address doesn't work anymore. When I try to connect to my box using the original IPv6 address, I cannot get a response. Is this related to the ``Tunnel=he-ipv6`` line I wrote to eth0-dhcp.network file? How can I solve this problem so that I can have two IPv6 addresses for different uses? Thanks. hi everyone i have installed arch with lxde , the keyboard is setup all the keys are setup except one the backslash key, in thunderbird and openoffice a backslash char is displayed but in the lxterminal and geany(ide editor) it displayes as a yen char, i added Option "XKbOptions" "yen:backslash" to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf but no change, is the line i added to 00-keyboard.conf incorrect ? i understand that the console is not affected by xorg so i'm also looking for a solution there as well. shadrock thanks

[arch-general] Cannot receive files via bluetooth

Hello, it seems some bluetooth has overwritten my bluetooth main.conf, as last change has been on September, 26th. Also, I cannot receive files any more, so I guess, I'd cahnaged sth. there. Unfortunately, I cannot remember, what changes I'd made in the past. :-( Could You probably tell me, what might cause the non-functioning file transfer? Sending files works, btw. Kind regards Peter

[arch-general] Cups upgrade leaves broken link in multi-user.target.wants: cups.path -> /usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.path

Devs, I don't know which recent Cups upgrade changed the systemd service name for 'cups.path' to 'org.cups.cupsd.path' without removing the old link when the new package upgrade is performed. This leaves multi-user.target.wants with a broken link, e.g.: $ l1 /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/ avahi-daemon.service cronie.service cups.path <--- old link --- dhcpd4.service dovecot.service httpd.service iptables.service lm_sensors.service mysqld.service named.service 'netctl(a)rlf_network\x2dstatic.service' nmbd.service ntpd.service nut-server.service org.cups.cupsd.path <--- new link --- postfix.service remote-fs.target smbd.service spamassassin.service sshd.service vsftpd.service Do I just need to unlink the old broken link?
