This patch updates groff to version 1.22.4, which was released yesterday. I had to change the PGP key from Werner to Bertrand, and I also removed some lingering whitespace. [arch-general] syslinux: out of date - or not?

Hi, I recently wanted to switch from grub to syslinux, but it could not boot my /boot-partition, because it uses XFS. Unfortunately only syslinux 6.04 supports XFS, while we stick on 6.03. 6.04 is somehow a "testing" version, thought it has been out for 2 years, so I marked 6.03 as "out of date". [arch-general] systemctl daemon-reexec - anything else needed after systemd update?

Archdevs, After todays update to systemd-239.370-1, there was nothing that would have prompted a reboot (like a kernel update), so I simply wanted to restart the daemon. From the systemctl man page, the daemon-reexec option seems like the logical way, "...This command is of little use except for debugging and package upgrades. Sometimes, it might be helpful as a heavy-weight daemon-reload." Is there anything else needed other than daemon-reexec when there is an update to systemd itself? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

[arch-general] mariadb package outdate for over a month

Hey fellow Arch users, the extra/mariadb package is flagged as out of date since 2018-11-09. I was wondering, why it still was not updated. Hello, since some days, I'm noticing HD is too busy, and my laptop is very slow in some cases. Are there any invisible background threads running? How can I find out about those? Running top, cpu use should be only about 30%, so it should wait for tasks to be executed, instead. Kind regards Peter

I updated my system yesterday with pacman -Syu, and now Claws is claiming that pop.gmail.com is sending an invalid certificate whenever Claws tries to connect to fetch mail. User "ceph" is defined, but /run/ceph does not exist as its home directory - why? Seems there's a problem in the installation of ceph-libs or any or its dependants (like libvirt).
