Did you miss this part, or are we somehow not communicating?
Oops - my bad. I did miss that part. Just read the beginning of the post where you show "pacman -Sy" and I assumed that you skipped all the uninstalls. Of course, we all know what happens when we assume .... :-) Judging from the rest of your post (and some subsequent posts) it sounds like this is some sort of weird conflict between the stock KDE packages and the unstable ones.
