Lately on some tab completions using ~/, I've noticed that the tab-completion automatically fills in /home/david for ~/ and on other operations it does not. It seems in some cases that tab completion tries to automatically account for the extra spacing needed by inserting /$HOME in place of ~/ but it doesn't do it correctly resulting in my cursor being moved a line ABOVE the current line?
What package is most likely responsible for this? bash-completion? Also, is anyone else seeing this?
Hi After I last saw things like that I pacman -R bash-completion. haven't had any trouble since. Try getting rid of it, too, simple file names will still be tab- completed. cheers! mar77i
