listmates,
Attempted update yields libtiff dependency problem:
[21:52 alchemy:/home/david] # pacman -Sy -u :: Synchronizing package databases... kde-unstable is up to date kdemod-legacy is up to date core is up to date extra is up to date community is up to date archlinuxfr is up to date :: Starting full system upgrade... :: Replace phonon with kde-unstable/qt? [Y/n] Y resolving dependencies... error: cannot resolve "libtiff>=3.8.2-5", a dependency of "qt" error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: qt: requires libtiff>=3.8.2-5
The problem is that libtiff-3.8.2-5 is still in testing, but qt that has been moved to the normal repositories is claiming it as a dependency
kde-unstable requires you are using the [testing] repo.
Allan
Ah Hah!, Thanks Allan. But we must be getting close to "stable" if three packages are all that is required ;-) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Rankin Law Firm, PLLC 510 Ochiltree Street Nacogdoches, Texas 75961 Telephone: (936) 715-9333 Facsimile: (936) 715-9339 www.rankinlawfirm.com
