Hello,
Hey SET,
After today's upgrade, package knotes is not in the repositories.
'pacman -Q knotes' gives 'knotes 24.05.2-1', the previously installed package that fails to load. Other KDE packages like kontact have version '24.08.0-1'.
'pacman -S knotes' gives nothing.
Is it dropped upstream or in Arch (both doubtful)? Has it been renamed?
It seems like the package has been dropped:
https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/state/-/commit/e5765b0d4236...
But I don't have any further information on the why, the maintainer that did the changes maintains KDE (together with other people) and usually just drops stuff when it's discontinued by upstream, so that is maybe something that you could look into a bit further ..
It looks like upstream repo is archived, so that might be it: https://invent.kde.org/pim/knotes
You can still find it's packaging repository here if you want to build it yourself:
https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/knotes
Thank you for any input.
Cheers, gromit
