Oh my God. How ironic. The problem was the wiki suggested firefox prevents posting to the arch formum... Specifically: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Firefox/Tweaks#Referer_header_control network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy = 2 (breaks forum) Restoring to '0' resolves the issue.
