Ok blacklisting snd-hda-intel definitely helped. But after loading the module with modprobe my sound went crazy and my laptop reapeated the "moep" sound over an over again. But now that I know where to look I can experiment a little until I find a solution. Sebastian -- The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
