Hi all,
It appears that the prosody package dependencies have been updated, but not the program itself:
atlanta# prosodyctl start

luasocket is required for Prosody to run, so we will now exit. More help can be found on our website, at http://prosody.im/doc/depends **************************

This is since an update this morning, in which various Arch lua packages had to be replaced with similarly named lua- packages.
There's a bug report already opened:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33063?project=5&cat%5B0%5D=33&string=prosody
Please report/followup there.
By the way, it is still not working for me with prosody 0.8.2-7
Please try with -8 and let me know in BR if everything is ok. Cheers, -- Sébastien "Seblu" Luttringer https://www.seblu.net GPG: 0x2072D77A
