Hi,
my firefox and seamonkey have been segfaulting for a month or so.
Running the software with gdb produces the following errors:
Firefox: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff7de6567 in _dl_relocate_object () from /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2
Recompile glib and then provide more meaningful backtrace (all the functions in the stack and its parameters) for your error.
This is the entire stack:
[...]
You did *not* recompile glibc with debug symbols enabled. The stack is still not very useful.
I remember similar glibc bug https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/38069 but it should be fixed in 2.21. Make sure your system is up-to-date.
Ok, here is a better one:
#3 0x00007ffff7dee003 in _dl_open ( file=0x7fffcdae7148 "/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so", mode=-2147483647, caller_dlopen=0x7ffff21a158b <PR_LoadLibraryWithFlags+219>, nsid=-2, argc=<optimized out>, argv=<optimized out>, env=0x7ffff6ca7800) at dl-open.c:652
Ok, I deleted that file and now it works perfectly. Normally it should not be there, I think, cause I deinstalled the flashplayer using pacman. Thanks for helping me! -- Jabber: thorres@deshalbfrei.org PGP/GnuPG: 0x326F6D7B
